Love

Love certainly is the key to many things, but is love a decision made strictly of the conscious mind? Certainly yes, there are times we "decide" to love but, love does often times come of it's own volition. Did our parents decide to love us, or was it instantaneous? Do people who never knew Christ upon finding Him and learning from Him then decide to love Him? I can't be certain but, love discovers us and we are consumed by it and that can, perhaps be, the essence of "True Love" and true love cannot be compared to lust. I'm not one to quote philosophers in matters of faith but Socrates put it this way "There is no greater pain than the pain of true love." Now I am a bit more optimistic about the joys of true love than our friend Socrates but I bet we all see the profoundness of that statement. From Adam and Eve's time in the garden, man has tried to define love, it's origin, it's cause and effect, only to discover that in our search for understanding love, we re!
turn through Jesus Christ with the power of the Holy Spirit, to God the Father, who unconditionally loves us all. He has felt the pain of true love by our actions here on Earth but His love is unwavering and our love for Him should be the same. As should our love for each other.
